Muitos técnicos usam aquela regra simplista de “600 BTU/h por m²”. Isso está errado e vai gerar problemas. O cálculo correto considera múltiplos fatores:

Fatores Que Influenciam a Carga Térmica:

1. Área e Pé-Direito A altura do ambiente impacta diretamente. Um quarto de 12 m² com pé-direito de 2,5m tem volume de 30 m³. Se o pé-direito for 3,5m, o volume sobe para 42 m³—40% maior.

2. Insolação e Orientação

  • Fachada norte: recebe sol intenso o dia todo (adicione 20-30%)
  • Fachada oeste: sol da tarde, o mais quente (adicione 30-40%)
  • Fachada leste: sol da manhã (adicione 10-20%)
  • Fachada sul: menos insolação (cálculo padrão)

Fórmula Simplificada Para Ambientes Residenciais

Caso Prático: Dimensionamento de Quarto

Vou mostrar um caso real que fiz em 2023:

Ambiente:

  • Quarto de casal: 15 m²
  • Pé-direito: 2,80m
  • Fachada oeste (sol da tarde intenso)
  • 1 janela grande (2m²) sem cortina adequada

Instalação Elétrica Segura: Passo a Passo Completo

A instalação elétrica inadequada é responsável por 40% dos problemas em sistemas de ar condicionado. Curtos-circuitos, disjuntores desarmando e até incêndios podem ser evitados seguindo os procedimentos corretos.

Dimensionamento do Circuito Elétrico

Cada split precisa de um circuito elétrico dedicado e exclusivo. Nunca, jamais, em hipótese alguma, compartilhe o circuito com outros aparelhos.

Procedimento de Instalação Elétrica Segura

Vou detalhar o processo que uso em todas as instalações. Já evitei dezenas de problemas seguindo esse protocolo:

Passo 1: Desligar a Energia (LOTO – Lock Out Tag Out) Não basta desligar o disjuntor—você precisa garantir que ninguém vai religá-lo enquanto trabalha:

  • Desligue o disjuntor geral

Passo 4: Instalar Tomada Exclusiva

  • Tomada de sobrepor ou embutir conforme caso
  • Altura ideal: 2,10m do piso (acima da evaporadora)
  • Fixação firme na parede
  • Conexão correta: fase no terminal L, neutro no N, terra no ⏚

Passo 5: Aterramento Adequado O aterramento não é opcional—é obrigatório e salva vidas:

  • Conectar ao sistema de aterramento da edificação
  • Se não houver, instalar haste de aterramento (mínimo 2,4m)
  • Resistência máxima: 10 ohms (medir com terrômetro)
  • Nunca conectar terra ao neutro (erro gravíssimo!)

Passo 6: Testes de Segurança Antes de ligar pela primeira vez:

  • Teste de continuidade dos cabos
  • Teste de isolamento (megômetro): mínimo 1 MΩ
  • Verificar polaridade (fase/neutro/terra corretos)
  • Testar disjuntor (deve desarmar em caso de sobrecarga simulada)

Erro Gravíssimo Que Vejo Frequentemente

Em 2021, fui chamado para investigar um split que “dava choque”. O problema? O técnico anterior havia conectado a fase onde deveria ser o neutro, e o terra estava conectado no neutro. Como Instalar Ar Condicionado Split: Passo a Passo Detalhado

Agora vamos ao processo completo de instalação física do split. Vou detalhar cada etapa como se estivéssemos instalando juntos.

Ferramentas e Materiais Necessários

Antes de começar, tenha tudo à mão. Improvisar ferramentas gera resultados ruins.

Ferramentas Essenciais:

  • Furadeira de impacto com brocas de vídea (6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 14mm)
  • Martelo perfurador para concreto
  • Nível a laser ou de bolha (precisão)
  • Trena de 5m
  • Manifold de 4 vias com mangueiras
  • Bomba de vácuo (mínimo 3 CFM para splits residenciais)
  • Flangeador de tubos (excêntrico profissional)
  • Cortador de tubos (não serra!)
  • Alargador cônico
  • Torquímetro para porcas flare
  • Detector de vazamento eletrônico ou espuma
  • Multímetro digital
  • Termômetro digital infravermelho

Materiais de Instalação:

  • Tubulação de cobre (1/4″ e 3/8″ para splits até 18k BTU)
  • Isolamento térmico (espessura mínima 10mm)
  • Suportes metálicos (staffe) reforçados
  • Parafusos, buchas e âncoras apropriados
  • Fita silver tape para isolamento
  • Abraçadeiras plásticas ou metálicas
  • Mangueira de drenagem (PVC cristal ou similar)
  • Espuma expansiva para vedação do furo
  • Calha ou canaleta para proteção externa

Passo 1: Escolha e Marcação da Posição da Evaporadora

A escolha do local é crítica. Uma posição errada compromete o conforto mesmo com equipamento bem instalado.

Critérios Para Posição Ideal:

Altura:

  • Mínimo 2,10m do piso (evita jato direto nas pessoas)
  • Máximo 2,50m (facilita manutenção)
  • Ideal: 2,20m em quartos, 2,30m em salas

Distância das Paredes Laterais:

  • Mínimo 15cm de cada lado (circulação de ar)
  • Ideal: 25-30cm

Distância do Teto:

  • Mínimo 10cm (alguns modelos exigem 15cm)

Onde NÃO Instalar:

  • Diretamente sobre camas ou sofás (desconforto)
  • Próximo a cortinas que bloqueiem o fluxo
  • Perto de fontes de calor (fogões, janelas com sol direto)
  • Em locais com circulação de ar obstruída

Caso Real: Certa vez, um cliente insistiu em instalar a evaporadora sobre a cabeceira da cama “porque ficava mais bonito”. Expliquei os riscos: ar direto durante o sono causa problemas respiratórios, ruído próximo demais prejudica o sono, condensação pode pingar na cama. Ele ignorou. Três meses depois, pediu para reposicionar—serviço que custou 60% do valor de uma instalação nova.

Como Marcar Corretamente:

  1. Use nível a laser para garantir horizontalidade perfeita
  2. Marque os furos da chapa de fixação com precisão milimétrica
  3. Verifique a estrutura da parede (evite eletrodutos e hidráulica)

Passo 2: Furação e Instalação da Chapa de Fixação

Processo de Furação:

Para Paredes de Alvenaria:

  • Use broca de vídea compatível com a bucha escolhida
  • Fure com furadeira de impacto ou perfurador
  • Profundidade: 2cm além do comprimento da bucha
  • Limpe o furo com bomba de ar ou sopro

Para Paredes de Drywall:

  • Use buchas especiais para gesso (metálicas basculantes)
  • Nunca use buchas plásticas comuns (arrancam)
  • Se possível, fixe em montantes metálicos
  • Reforce com placa de madeira ou metalon se necessário

Para Paredes de Concreto:

  • Obrigatório martelete perfurador (furadeira comum não funciona)
  • Brocas de qualidade (widia)
  • Buchas químicas ou metálicas de expansão para cargas maiores

Instalação da Chapa:

  1. Fixe a chapa com parafusos apropriados
  2. Aperte com força adequada (sem exagero que rache a parede)
  3. Verifique nivelamento com nível de precisão
  4. Teste a firmeza: puxe com força—deve estar absolutamente firme

Um split de 18.000 BTU/h pesa aproximadamente 12-15 kg. Considere peso + vibração + tempo. Fixação fraca causa queda do equipamento.

Passo 3: Furação para Passagem da Tubulação

O furo da tubulação precisa ter caimento de 1-2 cm para cada metro em direção à área externa. Isso garante drenagem natural do condensado.

Diâmetro do Furo:

  • Splits até 18.000 BTU/h: furo de 60-70mm
  • Splits de 24.000-30.000 BTU/h: furo de 75-85mm
  • Use serra copo diamantada para melhor resultado

Técnica de Furação:

  1. Marque o centro do furo com precisão
  2. Incline a furadeira levemente para criar o caimento
  3. Fure de dentro para fora (evita lascar o reboco externo)
  4. Se a parede for muito espessa, fure dos dois lados encontrando no meio
  5. Limpe as rebarbas com lixa ou talhadeira

Cuidados Especiais:

  • Verifique antes se não há eletrodutos ou canos
  • Use detector de metais se disponível
  • Em prédios, confira se o furo não compromete estrutura
  • Proteja móveis e piso com lona plástica (pó de concreto é terrível)

Passo 4: Preparação e Passagem da Tubulação de Cobre

A tubulação de cobre é o “sistema circulatório” do ar condicionado. Qualquer erro aqui compromete todo o sistema.

Corte do Tubo: Use cortador de tubos—nunca serra. Serra deixa limalha interna que contamina o sistema:

  1. Ajuste o cortador no diâmetro do tubo
  2. Gire aplicando pressão gradual
  3. O corte deve ser perfeitamente perpendicular
  4. Remova rebarbas internas com alargador cônico

Curvatura do Tubo: Evite curvaturas bruscas—mínimo raio de 10 cm:

  • Use curvador de tubos para curvas precisas
  • Ou curve manualmente com cuidado, enchendo o tubo com areia fina (evita estrangulamento)
  • Nunca curve além de 90° em um único ponto

Flangeamento (Conexão Flare): Esta é a etapa mais crítica. Flare mal feito = vazamento garantido.

Processo Correto:

  1. Corte o tubo perpendicular e remova todas as rebarbas
  2. Coloque a porca flare no tubo (não esqueça este passo!)
  3. Prenda o tubo no flangeador deixando 1-2mm para fora
  4. Aperte o parafuso do flangeador gradualmente
  5. Dê 3-4 voltas completas no cone expansor
  6. Inspecione o flare: deve ter 45° perfeitos, superfície lisa, sem trincas

Inspeção Visual do Flare:

  • Veja contra a luz: não pode haver fissuras
  • Passe o dedo: deve estar perfeitamente liso
  • Use lente de aumento se necessário
  • Refaça se houver qualquer imperfeição

Já refiz flares 3 vezes em uma mesma instalação até ficar perfeito. Parece exagero? O cliente ainda me agradece 5 anos depois—sistema zero vazamentos.

Isolamento Térmico: Envolva cada tubo individualmente com isolante térmico:

  • Espessura mínima: 10mm para linha de sucção (grossa)
  • Espessura mínima: 6mm para linha de líquido (fina)
  • Vede as emendas com fita silver tape
  • Não deixe nenhum ponto do cobre exposto

Passo 5: Instalação da Condensadora

A condensadora fica exposta ao tempo e vibração. Instalação correta garante durabilidade e silêncio.

Escolha do Local:

Critérios Ideais:

  • Área ventilada (nunca em local fechado)
  • Protegida de sol direto intenso (se possível)
  • Distância mínima de paredes: 30cm atrás, 15cm dos lados
  • Base firme e nivelada
  • Fácil acesso para manutenção

Onde NÃO Instalar:

  • Área de passagem (risco de acidentes)
  • Sobre fossa séptica ou local úmido
  • Próximo a janelas de vizinhos (ruído)
  • Em sacadas fechadas sem ventilação
  • Diretamente no solo (use suporte elevado)

Tipos de Fixação:

1. Suporte de Parede (Staffe):

  • Mais comum em residências
  • Use suportes reforçados (mínimo 3mm de espessura)
  • Fixação em parede estrutural (nunca drywall)
  • Mínimo 4 parafusos 3/8″ com buchas de 10mm
  • Nivelamento perfeito (use nível)

2. Base de Piso (Concreto ou Metálica):

  • Ideal para condensadoras grandes (+ de 18.000 BTU/h)
  • Elevação mínima de 15 cm do solo
  • Base deve ser perfeitamente nivelada
  • Use isoladores de vibração

3. Laje de Cobertura:

  • Comum em prédios
  • Fixação com chumbadores químicos
  • Isoladores de vibração obrigatórios
  • Atenção ao escoamento de água da chuva

Instalação dos Isoladores de Vibração: São essenciais para conforto acústico:

  • Use isoladores de borracha reforçada ou molas
  • Um em cada “pé” da condensadora
  • Reduz vibração transmitida à estrutura em até 70%
  • Custo: R$ 40-80 o jogo (vale cada centavo)

Instalei uma condensadora sem isoladores em 2019. O cliente reclamou de ruído. Voltei, instalei os isoladores. Diferença absurda—de “parece um trator” para “quase não ouço”.

Passo 6: Conexões Frigoríficas e Torque Adequado

As conexões flare precisam de torque correto. Apertado demais: danifica o flare. Frouxo demais: vaza.

Processo de Conexão:

  1. Alinhe perfeitamente o flare com a conexão
  2. Aperte manualmente a porca até não girar mais
  3. Segure a conexão com chave fixa (evita torcer o tubo)
  4. Aperte a porca com chave ajustável: 1/4 volta de cada vez
  5. Use torquímetro para garantir torque correto
  6. Nunca force após atingir o torque especificado

Teste de Vazamento Preliminar: Antes de fechar o sistema:

  1. Abra levemente a válvula da condensadora
  2. Deixe um pouco de gás sair pelas conexões
  3. Aplique espuma de detergente em todas as conexões
  4. Bolhas = vazamento (refaça a conexão)
  5. Sem bolhas = prossiga

Vácuo e Carga de Gás: Procedimentos Profissionais

O vácuo adequado remove ar e umidade do sistema. Pular esta etapa reduz a vida útil em até 50%.

Por Que o Vácuo é Obrigatório

Três motivos críticos:

1. Remover Ar: Ar no sistema aumenta a pressão, sobrecarrega o compressor e reduz eficiência em 20-30%.

2. Remover Umidade: Umidade forma gelo no capilar e ácidos que corroem componentes internos.

3. Testar Estanqueidade: Vácuo mantido = sistema estanque. Vácuo que sobe = vazamento.

Procedimento Correto de Vácuo

Equipamento Necessário:

  • Bomba de vácuo de dois estágios (mínimo 3 CFM)
  • Manifold de 4 vias com mangueiras de baixa permeabilidade
  • Vacuômetro digital (analógico não tem precisão suficiente)

Passo a Passo:

1. Conectar a Bomba:

  • Mangueira azul do manifold na conexão de sucção (válvula grossa)
  • Mangueira amarela do manifold na bomba de vácuo
  • Abrir registros azul e vermelho do manifold
  • Válvulas do split ainda fechadas

2. Ligar a Bomba:

  • Ligar a bomba de vácuo
  • Aguardar até atingir 500 microns ou menos
  • Tempo médio: 20-30 minutos para splits pequenos
  • Splits maiores: 40-60 minutos

3. Teste de Estanqueidade:

  • Fechar os registros do manifold
  • Desligar a bomba
  • Aguardar 15 minutos
  • Vácuo deve se manter estável
  • Se subir mais de 200 microns = vazamento (procurar e corrigir)

4. Finalizar o Vácuo:

  • Se estável, abrir as válvulas do split (hexagonal)
  • Primeiro a de líquido (fina), depois a de sucção (grossa)
  • Remover mangueiras rapidamente (mínimo de ar entra)

Erro Comum: Muitos técnicos fazem vácuo de apenas 5-10 minutos. Isso remove o ar mas não a umidade. Resultado: sistema opera mal após alguns meses quando a umidade causa problemas.

Quando Fazer Carga de Gás Adicional

Splits modernos vêm com carga de fábrica para até 3-5 metros de tubulação. Se sua instalação exceder esse limite, precisa adicionar gás.

Quantidade Adicional por Metro Excedente:

  • R-410A: 20-30g por metro (verificar manual)
  • R-32: 15-25g por metro
  • R-22 (sistemas antigos): 15-20g por metro

Como Adicionar Gás Corretamente:

1. Pesar o Cilindro: Use balança digital precisa. Anote o peso inicial.

2. Conectar ao Sistema:

  • Mangueira amarela no cilindro (líquido)
  • Sistema já em vácuo
  • Cilindro invertido (líquido desce)

3. Adicionar Lentamente:

  • Abrir válvula do cilindro gradualmente
  • Adicionar a quantidade calculada
  • Pesar cilindro novamente para confirmar

4. Verificar Carga: Após adicionar, ligue o sistema e meça:

  • Pressão de sucção: 60-70 psi (R-410A)
  • Pressão de descarga: 250-280 psi
  • Superaquecimento: 8-12°C
  • Subresfriamento: 8-12°C

Importante: Nunca adicione gás “no olho”. Sempre calcule e pese. Carga incorreta é tão ruim quanto falta de gás.

Instalação de Drenagem: Evitando Vazamentos de Condensado

A drenagem do condensado é frequentemente negligenciada. Resultado? Goteiras, infiltrações e danos materiais.

Como Funciona a Drenagem

O ar frio não “segura” umidade como o ar quente. Quando o ar ambiente passa pela serpentina gelada, a umidade condensa—como um copo gelado “suando”. Essa água precisa ser drenada.

Volume de Condensado: Um split de 12.000 BTU/h em clima úmido pode gerar até 1-1,5 litros de água por hora. Em 8 horas, são 12 litros que precisam ser escoados adequadamente.
